the Virgin London Marathon
Sunday April 13, 2014
CRunCH teams up people who want to run the Virgin London Marathon with with charities that have guaranteed or "Golden Bond" places to offer.
We also match runners who have their own place (via the Club system or the Public Ballot) with the charity of their choice.
If you have arrived here without a particular cause in mind, you can choose from a wide range of charities offering around 1,000 guaranteed places to people willing to raise sponsorship funds.
If you have been directed here by your favourite charity, you will be taken straight to its application form when you click on the button to the right.
If selected, you will be asked to sign a Pledge Form committing to raise an agreed amount. Since 1997, CRunCH has found places for many thousands of runners who together have raised more than £10 million pounds for good causes.
Most of these runners would otherwise have missed the chance to take part because fewer than one in seven entrants is successful in the Public Ballot.
- Even if you have applied via the Public Ballot... you should still apply for a charity Bond place here. We recommend a twin-track approach: apply for a charity place while waiting to hear if you have got a Ballot place. You can hold a Golden Bond place until the Ballot results are published in September - and then release it if you get your own place. You will still run and raise money for your chosen charity, but as an Own Place runner you will not have to commit to the Golden Bond Pledge.
- If you did not enter the Public Ballot... you are now too late: the 2014 Ballot closed in April. That means your only chance of a place is via a Golden Bond application.
- If you already have your own place for 2014... (e.g. Ballot rollover, Athletic Club or any other type of guaranteed place) and would like to run for one of our charities, please now choose your cause. Just tick the Own Place button on the application form and we will do the rest.
- If you have used the CRunCH system in the past... but are making a new application for 2014, DO NOT sign in above at "ALREADY APPLIED" but start a completely new application by clicking on the shoe icon on the right. You can use the same email address but you MUST choose a new password. Choosing the same password as you used previously will invalidate your entry.
