CRunCH teams up people who want to run the Virgin London Marathon with charities that have guaranteed places to offer.
We also match runners who have their own place (via the Club system or the Public Ballot) with the charity of their choice.
If you have arrived here without a particular cause in mind, you can choose from a wide range of charities offering around 1,000 guaranteed places to people willing to raise sponsorship funds. If you have been directed here by your favourite charity, you will be taken straight to its application form when you click on the button below.
If selected, you will be asked to sign a Pledge Form committing to raise an agreed amount. Since 1997, CRunCH has found places for many thousands of runners who together have raised more than £10 million pounds for good causes (an average per runner of more than £1,600).
Most of these runners would otherwise have missed the chance to take part because fewer than one in six entrants is successful in the Public Ballot.

The details you see here relate to the 2012 Marathon, but you can apply here for a place in the 2013 event, which takes place on Sunday April 21.
Please note the following:
- Some charities may review their pledge level for VLM13. Most will stay the same as listed here, but if you apply for a team which does intend to change its terms and conditions, we will contact you about this before the end of May.
- If you have applied via the Public Ballot, you are still welcome to apply for a charity place here. We recommend a twin-track approach as fewer than one in six Ballot entrants will be successful. You can hold a charity place until the Ballot results are released in September and release it then if you are lucky in the Ballot.
- If you did not enter the Public Ballot, you are now too late: the Ballot closed on April 30. That means your only chance of a place will come via a charity application.
- The CRunCH VLM13 site will go live in early June and we will start making offers from June 11.
- If you already have your own place for 2013 - ballot rollover, club or any other type of guaranteed entry - and would like to run for one of our charities, please carry on and choose from our list: you will be made very welcome by whichever charity team you choose. Just tick the Own Place button when asked and we will do the rest.

- If you are already on the CRunCH system as a result of dropping out of the 2012 Marathon and intend to rollover your place to 2013 , please DO NOT RE-APPLY. Please refer to the message in YOUR SPACE entitled "Next Year".
- If you have used the CRunCH system in the past but are making a new application for 2013 - i.e. not a rollover from 2012 - please DO NOT sign in above at "ALREADY APPLIED" but start a completely new application. You can use the same email address but you MUST choose a new password. Choosing the same password as you used previously will invalidate your entry.
Many national charities are based in London, but not many focus their efforts solely on London. Sponsors will warm to a local cause, so take a look at these great LOCAL London organisations:
